Hmmm. Not too happy with this episode. As a whole, I think they did a great job recapping and reacting to what happened at PPV, but they did very bad job with resetting the storylines and creating a new ones. I would really welcome if they just rotate their roster way more and after each PPV, there should be hard reset and new storylines should be introduced - as much as possible. I wish third or half of the guys should go off TV for at least few weeks.

In that regard, it was a failure. Basically, only guy probably going on sabbatical after PPV is BD (which I didn't expected - but I agree with that decision. And Moxley, who should do it probably the most, and it is a long overdue for him is still in the picture and in a pretty wrong way. More on that later...

Matches were mostly fine, episode after PPV is inevitably more about promos anyways.

    • Cassidy and Lethal did a good job with selling injured limbs. And renaming the All Atlantic title to international championship is a thing long time needed. Good stuff. Because what they did with the all atlantic championship so far was great concept, but terrible name.
    • Juice Robinson as a new feud for Ricky Starks came totally from the left field, and it is a pretty interesting choice, but it was only suprise of the whole night when I expected like 4-5 of them. This is what I want from the episode after PPV. New directions for guys.
    • Yep, Ruby Soho explanation is all right, and feud will continue (in this case it is OK, it was obviously just a beginning)
    • Hangman, MJF, FTR, Acclaimed promos - good to great.
    • OK, Jade Cargill with at least small surprise. Canada theme and mysterious challenger. Works for me :)
    • Canada burns between JAS/Omega were great and HoB vs Elite vs JAS next week - ok, makes sense just for the fun of it, but it is a match for local audience, probably not really a feud starting thing for HoB (which I'm waiting for)

    • OK, I wasn't fan of DO/BCC match at all.
Written at the moment it was announced: Dark Order now should be given at least few mid level victories (riding their current popularity before relegated back to jobber status or maybe disbanded), not used against former-champs/champs level guys. And Mox should probably just enjoy his vacation to sell injuries from Texas match, it is kinda stupid when they go to action just few days after that.
Writter after match: OK, at least they did get quite competitive match, but anyways… whole logic was terrible and if they wanted turn BCC completely heel, they could do it with random jobbers easier. Hangman vs Mox at PPV was probably the most feud-ending match on the whole card (with exception of Cage/Jungle boy of course), so just a few days later continue with that feud... is a bummer. And after match fallout was very messy.

    • I understand ending of Hobbs vs Wardlow was pretty dud, but I somewhat consider it a smart booking - not really using QT specifically, but going with the heavily protected finish and interference, because neither Wardlow nor Hobbs should be losing at this time. Bad timing in going against each other for a title, so this was actually more clever than I expected it to be. Though specific execution pretty much sucked.

So, again, TLDR version: I wanted more new storylines and new faces and I did get just Juice Robinson and mysterious challenger for Jade. That is not enough. Good episode for reacapping/reacting the past, bad episode for pivoting to the future.

@barnett this what you want in your thread right?

I might start doing these with Smackdown. Make allusions to Ancient Greek literature and Shakespeare when discussing the Bloodline and how LA Knight is a continuation of the French vaudeville tradition

I actually thought it was a good show last night up until the QT thing which again...technically made sense they just did a s*** job of reminding viewers of their "agreement" (which feels like it happened 10 years ago)...felt like they should have at least teased the possibility of QT assisting Hobbs in beating Wardlow prior to it going down bc again...pretty much everyone forgot about their agreement months ago or didn't know it happened at all lol
