u gotta understand think about how little regular people are willing to download music/movies that aren't on streaming, now imagine how much smaller the amount of people is that would be willing to jailbreak their console which always has this reputation of being difficult and dangerous even when its not. Piracy will never be the main avenue

You prolly need a serious rig to actually entertain the emulation scene, so there's your barrier to entry already in place
