wait, how is that not a bad thing?
Because rechargeable batteries are a thing. I don’t want a controller where if the batteries f*** up I need a whole new controller.

Had 2 PS4 controllers since launch and both work perfect

I'm sure the chances of that happening is very rare.
AA batteries can f*** up devices too if they explode
It's so much easier to plug it into a usb cord to charge, than having to swap batteries

That’s good for you. Not everyone’s last though.

You can literally just buy a removable rechargeable battery though for the Xbox controller...

That's true but it's hella rare. you either gotta be super unlucky or treat your controllers like absolute trash to f*** them up. I'd rather just buy a controller and that's it than buy controller + batteries you gotta replace all the time or more money on a rechargeable kit

yeah but it should be a feature already included not something you pay extra for

I don’t want my battery and controller to be one though so it’s a feature to me.

The 3rd party rechargeable battery packs tho>>>>
I got a ps4 controller and an X1 controller i use on pc
I rarely use the ps4 controller because the battery life is trash.

Fair enough. That's my only gripe about xbox
I read an article the other day, where xbox explained why they still use batteries on their controllers, and they said because it was to please people that still wanted it that way. I just didn't believe anyone would want that tbh lol

I would stay far from those if I had an xbox, higher chances of messing up your controller, no?

Maybe with a cheap knockoff one
I got an energizer branded one tho. Absolutely no complaints. $40 well spent (brand new, it had a 36 hour battery life)... Honestly, the build quality of microsofts controllers are a bigger issue lol

that's a long ass time
I played more PS4 exclusive titles than Xbox
I'm speaking for myself
But you played much more multi platform games than exclusives. And multiplats are better on Xbox
I’ll get both on day one. Same as PS4 and One.
Xbox will be my main console and I’ll use the PS5 for one week every year to burn through a worthwhile exclusive.
Honestly if you’re still supporting the Xbox series in 2020 you lost. Hell even halo on steam now.

I'd rather have the best of both worlds on one console but we'll see what the line ups are
