Devs need it to actually develop games and that takes time. If ur testing a test kit you can do all of that within a week. Also, how can they properly test when there are no patches yet lol.. there’s no actual valid testing u can do unless ur Sony and they did that and gave us the numbers lol

getting performance captures razor, pix, gpu snoop all of that to optimize whatever they got it running at on a test kit on a test build before a shipping build test to be sure there are no issues for the player

The impression I got from the presentation (watched hours later in full quality with no outside opinions heard) was that the ps5 was great but some hardcore people still wanted more so ps5 pro is for them

An equivalent GPU costs $600 on its own. You can argue personal value til you're blue in the face but this is just what these things cost. The era of hardware being subsidized and manufacturers taking losses on hardware is over. You won't see that again.
