No it doesn’t watch the presentation again and if you still don’t believe me goggle the difference or just go on Twitter also. That’s why cerny explained it different from Xbox.

It uses shaders and a different technique

It’s not true live ray tracing in real-time like Xbox.

While Cerny doesn't mention technologies such as machine learning support or variable rate shading, PS5 does indeed deliver hardware-accelerated ray tracing via its Intersection Engine, which Cerny says is "based on the same strategy as AMD's upcoming PC GPUs". There had been speculation of an external block, but that's not the case - like next-gen Navi and Xbox Series X, the RT hardware is built into the shaders and so fully integrated. Similar to the RDNA implementation, PS5 will have access to the same kind of RT implementations we've seen in the PC space - reflections, ambient occlusion, shadows and global illumination are a good fit

Not the same go on any developer website and they explain the difference that’s why Xbox can deliver better results than your gaming pc.

That a cool press release tho but Xbox delivers that same tech better.

I’m not saying the games will be more fun or better ps has exclusives so they gonna sell more.

But let’s be honest about it.

Link a site then. I'm not arguing you I genuinely am curious what the difference is

  • At the end of the day I'll get the ps5. PlayStation always just has better exclusives. And supposedly their main focus is RPGs and those are my favorite type

  • No it’s not lol

This whole situation makes it obvious how little people understand about memory

A SSD that is this fast won’t change load times dramatically, it will completely change the way game worlds are designed, from the foundation up.

That’s why this needs to be made clear to developers and that’s the point of this conference

SSDs have been out for 20 years. Consoles are just now going away from using 5400 rpm HHD

It’s not about SSDs vs HDDs lol, it’s about this special PS5 SSD that they custom made and how it’s leagues ahead of even the best current PC SSDs
