Makes me wonder why Sony hasn't done similar thing, considering they explained you need the original architecture in the conference today hope someone presses Cerny about this soon

Edit: I see Xbox uses emulation and PS3 is notriously difficult to emulate which explains it

When I play Spiderman 2 I won’t be thinking about teraflops and Backwards comparability with games from 2003

Just saying it's pretty clear how little respect Sony has for the consumer. They know they can get away with this so they do...that's a step hill to slide on is my main point.

The ps3 only sold more because it was on sale two years after the 360 was off the market

To be fair the cell processor that the playstation 3 used seems like a nightmare to try and make happen on this architecture but this is a billion dollar company....they could make it happen if they felt they needed too.

Xbox actually created an emulator inside the console to make backwards compatibility work, it's also how they can upgrade the graphics or frame rate of old games because they could design there emulator around that.

Pretty impressive to be fair.

Both consoles have demonstrated loading scenarios

I saw that State Of Decay 2 loading screen on Xbox which was 8 seconds but man I think 8 seconds is still a lot. Like I will still pick up my phone to kill the time

But one is in last place so they have to do better for the consumer...that's the ship I want to be on tbh.

Let's be real, we will all stay at the same type of console since we can still play our old games with backwards compatibility

But it feels good to be on the right side this time
