2017 to me is when s*** really fell off, and then the last two years were horrible.. literally like a 1-2/10 for the genre . 2018 was definitely the absolute worst though.. almost nothing redeemable about that year for rap..

I believe that to some extent like occasionally here n there a trash rapper would get a hit or w/e but now the problem is that trash rappers emulate the other trash.. so for example we had dudes emulating Carti (who really ain't a good rapper in terms of skill), lil pump (by far one of the worst rappers ever), like etc etc... Back earlier this decade trash rappers would at least be emulating dudes like the ones I mentioned from 2010-2014 that were really dope ex: wale, asap rocky, odd future.. but now it's just PURE trash.. almost nothing redeemable..
