There are articles out there about him already being known and in industry parties. He just hadn’t dropped an album yet. He was running around with Jaz, Kane and Original Flavor.

From everything I've seen about Epstein, it doesn't seem like abduction was ever his MO, he was an evil, evil man who'd threaten people with murder if they considered speaking out about him, but I've never read of him having people d***ged and abducted, it was more a case of underage girls being groomed into working for him, either being outright asked to do s***work, or working as a masseuse etc before escalating into carrying out sexual acts for clients
