Exactly. The numbers don't matter so dropping at 12AM shouldn't be the move he makes. Artists who drop by 12AM do so to maximize the tracking week and get the best numbers. That's never been Pusha's goal (at least I don't think so) so for him, dropping in the middle of the day when everyone is up and active is the best move.

That's not true. Loads of artists drop in the middle of the tracking week/middle of the day. Dropping at 12AM on Friday is purely a label move because that's the beginning of the tracking week and that's the best time to get the best numbers at the end of the week but you can literally have your music uploaded to streaming services and available to stream at any time on any day. Spotify may control the playlist placements but they don't control when you can drop new music.
