Coke rap is a well established tradition in hip hop that allows for a real test of a rapper's lyricism. To be able to rap about the same subject for two decades and keep it fresh shows a unique gift. Plus it's a great backdrop for life's real-world drama--rags to riches, watching your friends turn to snitches, etc. Same reason gangster movies are some of the best cinema ever.
Perhaps the new Drake record is a better fit for you? It's very safe, has lots of corporate-approved lyrics, and will not confuse your white friends.
Dude is 45 and can’t let go of peaking in his teens. A lot of “traditions” in rap are dated
Yeahhhh Pusha T subject matter is repetitive. But like, name me 1 bad Pusha T album.
He always finds new phrases and metaphors to talk about the same thing
Most rappers rap about the same s*** with the same overused rhymes
So you agree?
i care music being good, you can't name a rapper that doesn't revisit certain subjects and themes in some way shape or form. And the crazy thing is Push has dropped songs that had nothing to do with d*** dealing before, so the criticism just seems lazy to me but to each their own

That’s the thing, his production is cool til you hear what he saying

Thank God you don't decide what gets released. We wouldn't have any fun s***.

Right he makes it interesting every time
That’s the thing, his production is cool til you hear what he saying
He's a great lyricist

Revisit is different than repeating the same subject every song.
song so hard, but damn i was waiting for bass to come in and it never did
for those saying its a boring / repetitive song, thats why
Why we comparing Pusha T and Drake?
We got Drake for the soccer moms and Pusha for the hip hop heads
Again, only with Push do yall care about lyrics being repetitive
But most of the rappers you motherfuckers ride for say the same s*** in every song
He's a great lyricist
Nah he is a great lyricist but he say the same s*** differently. It’s like Em. It gets old
Again, only with Push do yall care about lyrics being repetitive

literally

Examples
Nah he is a great lyricist but he say the same s*** differently. It’s like Em. It gets old
Thats not true because Em fell off in 2003 while Pusha T had stayed consistent forever.
hard not to do the pusha hand movements
I’m doing the wide eyed Pusha stare on every replay.
Thats not true because Em fell off in 2003 while Pusha T had stayed consistent forever.
Piggy backed off Ye
"America, you need a miracle
Beyond spiritual
I need a realer view
I hold a mirror to it
These ain’t new problems, they just old ways
I see one time turn sunshine into Freddie Gray
Just another nigga dead, just another nigga dead
Send another to the FEDs, send another to the FEDs
Not guilty, still I’m filthy
In FOX eyes, we the dark side
So they tell you lies
Through a TV, C-N-B-C
C-N-N, Don Lemon, no Kweli when you meet me
In order to be me
You gotta see what Chief Keef see
Brenda’s baby next door to the candy lady
Same project as Candy Man where they still doing hand-in-hands
Sunday to Sunday, pastor only want one day
Grandma praying someday
But God can’t hear it over gun play
Woo! Still a target, but the badge is the new noose
Yeah, we all see it, but cellphones ain’t enough proof
So we still lose"
Damn Push another verse about coke
Niggas still complaining about push rapping about coke
Get over it
Its pretty much expected for him to rap about coke, its like when we wait for jay electronica to rhyme his name with something random
