Here's the thing about Push:
He raps about one topic over and over and still makes it fresh, creative, and cutting edge.
S*** takes talent no cap.

Hip-hop fans just can’t comprehend that “new albums” can be better then the ones that perceived it.
MFS so scared to have a “controversial” opinion that anything that could be remotely true is blasphemy
I'm sorry but "It's Not Dry Yet" just sounded way better than the current title
Push clearly had to rename the album from “It’s Not Dry Yet” to “It’s Almost Dry” cus the album is almost finished
It's Not Out Yet

yes and no. "hip-hop fans" think MBDTF and Blonde are some of the greatest albums ever created. maybe Daytona just doesn't reach that status for some, and it does for others. it's not as cut and dry as you're making it seem.

if anything, i see new albums being praised as the greatest thing ever or "the new classic" literally every single other thread
yet again, only a thing that happens among hip hop """""fans"""""
never see such thirsty hypebeasting in s*** like rock or jazz

now that brings up the question of whether hip-hop fans are a little more album-oriented than other genres? like do we put more emphasis on it, or is that something i assume since i'm mostly in hip-hop communities

i mean in other communities they're pretty album oriented too. but what i actually prefer to rock communities and jazzheads is that they carry like a sense of reverence for the greats like Jimi Hendrix or Miles Davis, and it's pretty much protocol to not expect old rock bands to make good music forever (like that should be f***ing obvious)
only in hip hop communities are you expected to drop a "classic" when you're like 50 years of age with multiple releases and your legacy already set. that's not even to mention that albums can't even be just good either, it's either you dropped a classic or it's ass. s*** is peak corn

righttttttt. like a better way to put it maybe is we're very much "what have you done for me lately" in hip-hop. and maybe even pop. like you said, i don't get that so much from rock but maybe it's all the same.

exactly. and it could possibly be all the same in diff communities
who knows
