why would ye's flow on a modern drill song sound anything like his old school flow or rapping style?

It’s not the flow itself, more like the lack of confidence behind it. He used to always sound like he knew he was the best and it’s been lost recently. It’s hard to explain

his flow is on beat, his lyrics are fire, the mix is great and his vocals cut through well

they're just way louder than pusha's vocals and mixed way differently
