This album isn’t that great to me. Idk. Like the production is great and push can rap but it doesn’t do it for me. I guess its just too predictable having listened to clipse for 15 years
I was just re-listening to old Clipse albums the other day and was kind of impressed with how far Push has come. He’s at his best right now IMO which is crazy to me.
Hear Me Clearly is 11/10
My only complaint with "Hear Me Clearly" is, it needed one more verse. The song ended too abruptly. If it had one more verse, that song would've been perfect.
tf happened to this nigga
he rocked with it what do you mean? lol

Only like 2 songs, dude acting cold for the rest.

I only saw him really hate on the cudi track
I stopped watching him though for album reactions bc he just takes way too long to get to the point, he's way better for single songs or diss tracks. Rat Patrol - Game was dope.

Call My Bluff video today
Rock n Roll top 3 on this album
F*** nah
My initial take on Pharrell vs Ye
Was.
P got higher highs
Ye more consistent
I still feel the same kinda
But Im leaning more to ye side.
I think I prefer the bars more right now than all the s*** going on in P production.
Like it's so distracting to me some of the time.
Also there's alot of layers.
Like with the bonus of
Every time you hear the Push laugh it means something.
Hella f***ing layers.
Love s*** like this.
Also Dreaming of the past. Is easily the best on ye side and overall.
And then Open Air might be my 2nd pick
Catch a new crazy line every time you listen
Can't believe I missed Malice Vicks line on first listen
Rock n roll
And
Off the top
Are my two least fav tracks.
Push did not benefit at all from features this album tbh.
He shoulda pulled a Cole
Malice has the best feature verse on the album for sure
Malice the only feature he needed tbh
Call My Bluff video today

It is pretty dope to get a solo Ye beat of this type especially in 2022. This, however, was for Donda and Push had to beg Ye to keep it for himself. I have no idea how this would’ve fit on Donda though but we did get Life Of The Party on Donda
oh ok, surely if Push had to beg for it though it means Ye would have been putting a lot of love into that beat.
I guess it just about goes with Believe What I Say and Life of the Party. But yeah, Pray For You is the most Donda-type moment here, even if that's more to do with Labrynth
Ngl even tho I find myself disagreeing with a lot of his opinions they're well articulated. I disagree with him HEAVY tho on Hear Me Clearly and Rock N Roll though.
I like that he focuses pretty much exclusively on the music even if I disagree with his opinion. rare compared to most journalists
Hear Me Clearly is 11/10
Push sounds amazing on it. Fantano lowkey right though, the beat sounds a bit generic. Especially compared to the rest of the album
I just scraped it off the top (Cut it)
Cut it off the road, off the curb, off the block (Cut it)
I was already sold out of work by ten o'clock (Cut it)
Too deep in the streets, felt that pain, but it meant a lot
Whenever she calls, do what I gotta do
I'm movin' with a tool (Yeah), I paid it out in full, oh
