Mar 24, 2020Beast_Barzthats what drawing me into the ''weird'' stuff. when you think of keef as a casual you think of dont like, hate being sober, love sosa, you know that style of keef. but hearing him experiment with different sounds is making me appropriate him as an artist. while chicago rappers were making the same recycled drill songs he was making the type of music he wanted to make no matter how weird it may sound to people. it may have costed him his mainstream appeal but he was happy doing what he wanted and i f*** with that.
One of the biggest reasons that he's my #1 (aside from his music just being my favorite too lol).
That's exactly how I feel about Thug too, except now it's to the point where everyone f***s with Thug even some of his more out there stuff so it doesnt really have the same feeling to me (still f*** w him just as hard, but just doesnt have that specific feeling anymore of doing whatever he wants regardless of success)
What's crazy too about Keef to me is that he's so impactful that even when he decided to say f*** the mainstream and turned to his leaned out, mumbling auto-tune sound, that then became the new sound of rap (and those that did it after were actually able to gain mainstream success with it)
