This one album I don’t get the hate for. I’m a casual Nas fan, so maybe that’s why I didn’t see this as a let down. I thought the beats were great, and Nas’ raps were good. Only on like 2 tracks where it sounded like the beat was added to Nas’ rapping.

Majority of the common criticisms thrown at this album is ironically how I feel about 4:44

Not saying it's the best album but Kanye reintroduced Nas to relevancy.

nas has a strong enough fanbase within hip hop

Echo came out like what 3/4 months later and completely embarrassed this entire album

i think it will be more loved than this new album. Just cus im not sure how well the beats and Nas will resonate with audiences in 2020.
