Someone who’s comfortable im their sexuality can be more comfortable making whatever they want and push boundaries while being called “gay” or “fruity” thats why ppl lile Uzi pr Thug who frequently get made fun of for their femininity are called innovators cause they really dont give a f***. Its the fragile ass masculinities that be making the most boring music I promise you.

in a way you 100 percent right.
but only bc openly queer acts have fanbases that will accept almost anything they put out. a musician that has fans after coming out as gay probably has a ride or die fanbase and they know it. since they know they'll always have fans, they're more willing to take musical risks

The music speaks for itself. Nobody is not calling projects by queer artist bad because they fear being labelled as homophobic. In fact, you'd have your work cut out for you to find a project by a queer name in the last 2 years that isn't highly praised for its musical achievements.

Your argument is that queer people are not judged equally because people want to be politically correct which disarms and erases their queerness

when you could literally just accept the music is amazing and there's nothing you can do about it dawg

Why? Harms no one and opens up a greater space for queer artist to be recognized and acknowledged for their achievements.

Its weird niggas who won't even listen to musicians if they're gay just off that and its time to get niggas like that up outta here.

"fired some serious shots" oh shut the hell up you dork
so insecure in your sexuality bruh. Which is ironic coming from a dude whose avy is a masculine nigga with exposed arms. 😁

Point is, queer artists are much more intellectually gifted when it comes to the arts, music specifically and are making transcendent genre bending an redefining masterpieces year after year (almost monthly) and yall niggas worried about the next hippity hop bop to drop.

KTT may be moderately homophobic/transphobic in a lot of threads, so I get that you're coming from a good place in trying to defend your point.

But you straight outted yourself as just as close-minded with this comment. @Hollewood made a legitimate point that concerning yourself with the sexuality/gender of any artist is entirely pointless, and especially the idea that those characteristics determine talent in anyway actually belies the same neuroticism and obsession re: sexuality/gender that homophobes/transphobes exhibit. Do you not understand that LGBTQ+ don't need or want to be put on some weird ass pedestal and separated from the rest of society? They're just as human as the bigots attacking them, ironically, and understanding this point is fundamental to respecting them fully as human beings.

But rather than interact with the point he made, YOU made insane and unfounded assumptions regarding his gender and sexuality. It might even be a her. So what that he/she has a sports avi? For all you know he's as Queer as the artists you just posted. More importantly, even if he is super straight and masculine, you chose to slander his totally natural identity and imply that his taste level is hindered because of it, which IS THE EXACT SAME AD HOMINEM STRATEGIES THAT HAVE BEEN LEVIED AGAIST LGBTQ+ individuals for all of history. You really are so butt hurt that he criticized your thread that you exhibited the exact same regressive thought patterns that have oppressed the exact group of people you claim to be supporting (but are really more like fetishizing)

Also, btw, now I'm pissed that you made me type all this out. But I had to explain how this condescending, unsound faux-liberalism is a disease that is propping up bigotry and hate in conservative circles: because this fake virtuous intellectualizing is so transparently empty that even bigots can see through it. And it hinders us all.

    You are forgiven though

where? when he said you "sent shots"?

that's because your title literally says Queer artists are more creative than hetro ones. So he was right.

And that doesn't imply that he/she was attacked. just that you are demeaning heterosexual people's abilities

I just don’t see the correlation between being gay and creativity. Any true artist will push boundaries regardless of sexuality. I just don’t think that matters truthfully, for me at least. I can see why certain artists fear that. They’re sheep tbh.

The implication that “queer artists” just suddenly sprouted out of thin air and will “takeover 2020” is just ignorant

There have always been gay artists and being gay doesn’t give you some weird edge over being straight

Gay artists are rising to prominence because as time goes on the stigma continues to die and more and more artists are coming out

Don’t label an artists as gay or straight. an artist is an artist is an artist and your sexual orientation isn’t a metric of that

It's becoming socially acceptable to be queer

    Never implied they didn't exist

I'm telling you they won't continue to be suppressed

And in that zeitgeist a lot of the boring ass one dimensional cis musicians are gonna have to put a lot more work in

Sounds like that fact triggers you.

    Sam Smith unoriginal as hell

  • LGBT is actually going to become LESS common in the future as these mentally ill people heal the root of their issues. I used to think I was “bisexual” until I got to the root of it.. LGBT IS AN AGENDA. And in 2019 it’s NOT SAFE TO HAVE THIS OPINION!!!
