It was so good
I found the pace and structure to be a little tiresome but there's a good film in there

Rewatch it brother at home with subs.

I have fam the extreme brevity doesn't really allow for the eventual gut-punch emotional scenes to actually land for me
No that would be lame to wrap his career up with a sequel. Everyone of his films stands on their own. Sequels don’t.
I want kill bill 3

Me too but I think that would work better as a miniseries or something.

I think there's about a 5% chance qt actually retires from telling stories on the screen. He says he knows his history on the topic but there's very little logic to his theory about directors sucking after 10 films.

I like him retiring cause I’m OCD like that too. A nice even 10 film box set on the shelf and call it day. He can still work in television to get his cinematic fix and write more novels.

I don't take talk of retirement in creative industry seriously. QT gets one good idea that excites him and he's back making movies

You think he's really gonna be able to relax while his mid 90s peers PTA and Wes keep dropping classics for like 30 more years? doubt
Lynch, Hitch, Bunuel, Wilder, Ford, Marty etc etc so many geezers dropped gold

Literally lost track of how many times Miyazaki and DDL were supposed to retire they'll always come back when the right idea pops up
That was just gonna be a comic book
No they originally had plans of doing a movie with Jerrod Carmichael co-writing
I'm late but I just read that Brad Pitt was originally suppose to play a detective in this movie, investigating the Manson murders. I guess it was suppose to be more Manson Family centric originally.
I wonder how that film would of turned out

That's the movie I was expecting when I saw it in theaters on first watch and thought it was a bore.. it hit so much better watching at home the second time without the expectations of it being manson centric

You must of went in without watching the trailers and all that huh?
I remember reading the manson family was in the film, and then read later on that they was in the far background of the film and not the main

Basically, the trailer I saw didn't show much plot and I didn't watch many interviews on it I just knew it involved manson so I thought It d he front and center, I thought s*** was gonna pop off right when Pitt entered that trailer park lol
watched this again: yep it’s a classic
Just such a comfy film to watch
been thinking recently about how incredible it’s gonna be when he does a mini-series. there are a lot of great shows that i feel his influence in sometimes. but 8 to 10 hourlong episodes where he can flesh things out as much as he wants just sounds amazing
