How do you make a film where someone navigates through the p*** world and there’s no s***in it. It’s also weird to say he doesn’t like p***. I just read his book and he talks about it multiple times and praises specific p*** films and says that industry is as valid as the film industry. He criticizes Schrader’s Hardcore for having almost an anti p*** message. It is odd however that for as much as he’s a massive fan of exploitation films from the work of Russ Meyer to Jack Hill—that there’s barely any nudity in any of his work. There’s more t*** in Spielberg’s filmography than Tarantino’s. It’s as if he’s exclusively fetishizing the violence and of course there’s his foot fetish. Still it’s just strange.
