  • My question is for Americans who regularly watch SNL. I was seeing this skit trending on Twitter:

Being called the best SNL skit in 20 years. The episode is also well received as one of the best episodes.

The skit is pretty funny but it’s about the same level as a Family Guy skit. How unfunny is modern SNL usually that this is considered the best of the best? Btw, most SNL skits I’ve seen trending have been bad. (Recently the Trump/Elon one and the espresso wedding one were both unfunny).

Here’s a similar family guy skit

  • Yeah I was shocked at that statement too. I smiled maybe once

    Also mid

  • I usually find SNL unfunny, must be due to the differences in humour between America and Ireland & the UK. Shane Gillis' humour does seem to cross-over though

I don’t watch SNL but the Ryan Gosling alien abduction scenes are way better than this… mostly because of Kate McKinnon but still

  • i don’t watch this bullshit

  • This skit was hilarious and one of the best in years the people are correct

CouplaBeers is good but definitely not best in 20 years good

  • mosh

CouplaBeers is good but definitely not best in 20 years good

Not even the best in 20 months good

  • Idk but him and Matt mccuskers gave me some primo giggles over the years

  • Didn't laugh once, but it's white guy humor and they seem to be lovin it so...

  • I don't get what ppl see in this Shane Gillis guy I really dont

Also SNL is humor for squares, s***s devoid of any actual bite or edge and none of their attempts at jokes have any cleverness or wit behind them

Usually the actual events they spoof are far funnier

    Eh.

    White guy humor.
