I think KTT mainly wouldn't f*** with WAP because it's mainstream hip-hop. You don't see people going mad for Lil Nas or DaBaby here either.

Then you have to ask yourself, does KTT hate Nicki Minaj? She's been sexual in her lyrics, but to a less cringy way. And most of us were excited to hear what New Body was going to sound like, despite it inevitably featuring a female talking about her body.

Danny Brown has a song 'I Will' that is hyper-sexualised, and honestly uncomfortable to listen to. WAP reaches similar heights in cringe lines, such as the big mac truck line.

So, no OP. Maybe there's some that dislike songs such as WAP because they hate women, but I would say most people mainly didn't like it because it was typical mainstream music formula with oftentimes cringy lyrics. (Also, a lot here hate 'I love it' too, which is a very comparable song).

I don't have a problem with sexuality in lyrics, I mean if I had a choice, i'd rather not hear about a rapper's (male or female) sexual escapades unless it's in a romantic-love way (which it rarely is- see Wet Dreams by J.Cole).

I think when a rappers subject matter is one dimensional, it gets old way too quick. I truly believe that if your content is strictly about one or two things then your longevity shortens, it's just facts. People get sick of hearing the same s*** from the same person eventually. If we get the same content, it's gotta be packaged in a new, more unique way than it was in the past and to me it just ain't that unique to me.

Now I say all this knowing there are tons men and women who actually are misogynistic and they use these overly sexual songs to exercise their misogyny. I do think there is something to note here tho, it's true men aren't the main audience for artists like Meg, Cardi, City Girls, and Saweetie but I don't think that means that men don't like women rappers, it def has all to do with the sound. I wish we could look at the demographics for rappers like Rapsody, Che Noir, Armani Caesar, Noname, and Rico Nasty because i'm willing to bet they have wayyy more male fans than female fans and I think that kinda speaks to the tastes that some men have in their music versus women. I don't know if a good portion of women who run the Meg album on repeat, are running to listen to the new Rapsody project and i'm not saying that's a bad thing but it kinda just speaks to what the climate is and what people want out of their music.
