How does he feel about his core fanbase getting older? The ones who’ve been listening since So Far Gone or even before that. Every Drake album solidifies a time in my life. I remember how I was generally feeling in my life at the time, who I was dating, what were the big things going on in my life, etc.

I’ll never forget moments like hearing Nothing was the Same when it leaked or when IYRTITL dropped. I know a lot of people feel the same way.

Of course Drake himself is getting older and more mature as well. But it’s definitely a balancing act between catering to your old fans and also catering to the younger ones who may want less introspection or less mature subject matter.
