Inspired by a tweet I read that said

"White people will have BLM on their dating profiles but won't date any black people or have any black friends."

I get it. We all got preferences, we all mostly stick to our own, and you don't have to sleep with a POC to support the fight.

But is there not a subconscious racism in there somewhere? Especially when you settle for less just because they're the same race? Idk

I live in the south, I am surrounded by conservative white women and I am also latino. Racism is everywhere on these apps

Yep. People like to hide behind “I like what I like” but there is literally no basis for not wanting to date a particular race other than racism.

I think it depends. If you just say “I’m not gonna date anyone who’s Asian” then yeah I think that’s racist.

But if you just happened to have not dated an Asian person I don’t think that makes you a racist

Okay now what if it's someone from the same status/culture but they black and still don't get the right swipe? Only reason I ask is because I'm reading that stuff like that is going down on these apps too.
