From the first two episodes I’ve seen, it’s pretty much about a single mother trying to keep her and her daughter from going homeless by any means necessary—all the while trying to stay sober after having completed her first 100 days of sobriety.

The story is about a lot, but its main themes are about poverty and alcoholism. It mainly centres the mother and her daughter but the supporting cast are just as interesting: a rich gay gambling addict who just got out of prison for violently assaulting someone, and a raging alcoholic trying to help her dad run his funeral parlour.

Give the pilot a peep if you’re hesitant. It acts pretty much like a litmus test on whether you’ll be interested in seeing the rest or not. It’s 30 minutes an episode too so it’s bite-sized imo.

This sold it for me, Im definitely checking it

I don't like Shelby but he kinda funny, that punch club scene was wild
