So I sit in the same place each class and today a dime who normally sits near me asked if she could sit beside me, then she just randomly started talking to me. Told me she saw me in one of her other classes and kept our conversation going for like 20mins. She also told me I was very smart and we would both be successful in life.

Am I crazy for wanting to push this further? She was so nice and had an amazing personality. This is the second time a girl has asked to sit beside me, start a conversation, and engage with me. The last time this happened I didn’t really take advantage of it when the girl was trying to keep the conversation going.

This time I got her name but I didn’t get her number or IG. When I see her again how do I build a friendship? I feel like it would be weird to ask for her # after just meeting her lol.

Don't ask for her number just yet. Build on your conversation the next time you see her and then do it. Based on what you said she's clearly interested in talking to you at the very least so test the waters

it should be cool to get a number or socials after meeting second time seeing as your in the same class you need to reach out for help anyways

Don't do this whole "notes" song and dance imo, just ask for her number. She initiated conversation with you and pointed out that she remembered you from another class. She throwing signals your way

Coming up with an excuse shows you're not confident/scared of rejection (big turn off for women) and gives her an excuse to just lead you along and get help with the class from you. It's gonna sting if you invest time talking to her, give her notes and when you eventually make a move you get hit with the "I have a boyfriend"

Just be upfront about it Say you've enjoyed the conversations you've had with her and would like to get to know her better. You'd like to take her out for coffee/drinks
