With me personally, I’ve listened to hundreds of albums in many genres from multiple decades. There’s a little over 100 albums I would say I like

But I’ve never heard an album, even one with songs I love, without songs that I don’t enjoy at all. I’ve accepted that I’ll never hear an album where I enjoy every song

So my “favorites” are relative to that

Yeah I don’t like ALL of the songs on my fav albums on some 5/5 s*** usually, but even the weaker songs are pretty good for me, like it’s far from 0-1/5, dafuq

Well I mean “the ones I don’t enjoy as much”

Like they’re still ok for me. Maybe 3/5, with some exceptions here and there but I barely can recall a “fav” album of mine with 0-1/5 songs

0-2/5 means kinda unlistenable imo (or no enjoyment at all) lol

For me it just means I get no joy out of it. There’s some songs that I know are really well made/produced/performed but they give me no joy

Yeah I get you but I guess we just have different rating systems because everything from 2 and lower for me would mean not just “no joy” but rather “I need to force myself to keep listening” or “this actually hurts my ears” etc

There are some songs that give me negative emotions/annoy me, like I actively dislike them - this would be 0-1-2/5

And then there are songs I’m just a bit indifferent to but I can listen to them and maybe even enjoy for a bit depending on the mood, that would be like 2.5-3/5

I’m the same with the second point

It’s the first point where we differ a little bit. I would say that anything I actively dislike is a 0 but I also include songs that I may not dislike - they just don’t give me joy even a little
