Internet not interfering lol only have ktt

I just think future just fills out more big 3 qualifications in that era. From monster to 56 nights to beast mode to ds2 to HNDRXX to the WIZRD it’s just hard to deny plus on every hit for a decade.

Bro again the argument isn’t commercial if that’s the case it would be Nelly over Nas

It’s Commercial impact multiplied by Skill always has been

Also the gap between Future and Cole commercially is not even that wide Future has just released way more music also Future doesn’t have a single album as Big as 2014 FHD was commercially not even DS2, FHD is 6x platinum

Even now Cole is the 10th most streamed rapper this year and Future is 6th, not that wide of a gap

And Cole built that status with almost no reliance on pop records

  • 50 Em Nelly
    Jay Ja Rule Dmx
S*** like that feels more accurate to era

too young to comment but no where have I really seen it depicted as Nas Em Jay being super hot at the same time

But what if the albums weren’t loved

    Debut was awful
    BS was not great
2014 good at the time even tho wet dreamz
    FYEO snoozy

big 3 convo is about dominance imo. and cole got future beat there.

Yes, Cole has the biggest album among the two of them, no denying that

But looking at the rest of their discographies:

    Cole:
    3x Platinum - 1
    2x Platinum - 2
    Platinum - 1

    Future:
    3x Platinum - 1
    2x Platinum - 4
    Platinum - 5

When The Real Me goes #1, Future will also move to #3 all-time for most #1 albums by a male solo artist ever, behind only Drake and Jay-Z.

Doing all of that as a Southern rapper who exclusively makes trap music is a huge feat

Has Future not been extremely dominant commercially throughout his career?

    • Third most #1 albums among all male solo artists ever

    • More streams than Cole on both Spotify and Apple Music (#3 on Apple Music and #17 on Spotify)

    • Third-most entries all-time on the Hot 100, behind only Drake and Taylor Swift

  • 213 but personal would be 321 or 231, listen to more music from the second 2 rankings

    So you legitimately think

That j cole is a bigger staple of the 2010s than future

    Nas was huge

Not as big as Nelly or Fif but this is the same strawman argument that people are having about J Cole and Future

Nas was making platinum albums AND rapping at an elite level far beyond Fif or Nelly or any of those guys

Cole got 3 albums with 369k+ , Future might have dropped more and got accomplishments off that, but I wouldn’t say he’s ever dominated. the closest he got was I Never Liked You era with a big album + single and Dot dropped 2 weeks later so that moment was nulled quick lmfao

    Yes

50 years from now Cole will be remembered as a staple of the 2010s along with Drake and Kendrick

Future will too for his commercial impact for sure but when it comes to all around impact as a hip-hop artist taking skill into account he will be remembered
