1. Donda - 9/10
• Not a perfect body of work, as my score may suggest, but it truly feels like an epic three hour movie in the form of a Kanye album. So many amazing songs on here, countless career highlights, and even though there are some subpar ones scattered throughout, they don’t drag down the album too much for me personally. Also, the stadium LPs may be one of the best pop culture moments of the decade.
2. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers - 8/10
• A really solid album. I would go as far as to call it great. My biggest gripe with this album is that I don’t love it as much as I do his previous three studio albums, but that’s a little unfair when those three albums are as good as that Kendrick 2010s run is. All in all, this is still a beautiful album, and revisiting it after the beef this summer has gotten me to appreciate it a little bit more than I initially did two years ago.
3. Utopia - 8/10
• When I think of summertime blockbusters in music, this album comes to mind. It just feels super fun and it feels grandiose. Travis fully realized and claimed his place in rap with this project, and a year later it has proved its’ staying power. I see some that criticize this album for not being as good as Astroworld, which is fair, but I feel like he was trying to accomplish two totally different things with both albums, and I think he succeeds here. The production is easily among the best of any rap album this decade, my only real criticism is that Travis still fails to have any emotional or thematic depth as a songwriter, but at this point asking for that from feels like a lost cause.
4. Certified Lover Boy - 4/10
• I was so excited for this album. The three years wait, the album trailer, the title which I actually thought was pretty dope, the Kanye drama which was pretty entertaining, Laugh Now Cry Later… all of it was shaping to be a career defining for album for him. And then the delays. And then the album cover. And then the album was delayed yet again on the night of release, not even dropping until 2:00 AM. The first two songs really tricked me too, I thought he had dropped a classic on us. And then Girls Want Girls began. Not gonna bash too much on this album, but overall I think there’s some really amazing songs on this project, and there’s a great album hidden in this tracklist. The first half is not too bad for me, but that second half is really where it completely loses me. The stretch from No Friends in the Industry to The Remorse is easily the worst stretch in any Drake project for me, personally. This felt like a parody or by-the-numbers Drake album, it’s by far my least favorite project of his.
How would y’all rank these albums?

CLB over Donda is insane to me.
CLB was one of the most boring rap albums I ever listened to front to back.
Donda easily sounds better to me even if it's bloated.

I love CLB, very enjoyable album to me
Donda on the other hand is easily one of my least favorite Kanye albums, probably only have JIK lower.

CLB overall sounds and feels like it was made in a lab. That album is the biggest example of the “Drake formula” by far

Ah I see.
CLB and FATD are my least favorite Drake albums personally.
That first part of N 2 Deep is the best part about any of these albums
N 2 Deep is a classic
But Come to Life and Off the Grid are right there

I certainly can see how people don't like CLB and FAT D but I don't find Drake music boring I like CLB a lot more than FAT D tho.
Too many very high quality songs to be turned off by it, even if some of the fat could have been trimmed.
Donda is down there with my least favorite Ye albums. TLOP was his last legit good solo project imo
N 2 Deep is a classic
But Come to Life and Off the Grid are right there
Off the Grid lost a lot of its power for me at this point I don’t think Kanye sounds good with the punch ins

Utopia - 8/10
Probably the best album here great production and guests, feels like a blockbuster film. The only problem it has is too much dip on its chip. Sometimes it's better to make a simple song like "I Know" than make an ambitious but messy song. Though I appreciate most of the experimentation and the directions he took surprised me.
Mr. Morale - 7/10
Very deep personal album with personality dives for Kendrick. It's all about the writing so when I have time to sit with it and think I like it. Musically I think it's a little lacking, compared to other Kendrick albums I haven't been excited about this as much. I like the songs where he's rapping hard, the bangers, and some of the emotional songs. There are heavier songs here that are interesting but not fun to listen to so, it's not really my taste but I appreciate it.
Donda - 5.5/10
Not a bad album especially considering what we get now from Kanye but I definitely don't like it as much as I did at the time. Carried by guests, lack of direction, long and messy. Lyrically Kanye is not very good here. I did like the direction of keeping the religious and spiritual themes and mixing them with modern hip hop. I think a lot of these attempts worked and the more stripped back songs like 24 and Jonah did a lot for me. Still a mess of an album and proof Kanye lost it.
CLB - 5/10
Can't say it's bad I did listen to it quite a bit and I have a few highlights from it that I still play, but it's the worst Drake album and continues his stagnation as he has almost no original ideas or passion in this album, the songs that sound the best are the ones that sound like old Drake and have been done better before. The cover and the tongue and cheek quality the album is supposed to have didn't work for me. Boring, predictable.
