Ya'll say this like it's a bad thing but forget that the Blog Era had Pop and EDM dominating the charts: Lady Gaga, Adele, Calvin Harris, DJ Guetta, Katy Petty, Bieber, Lorde, Rihanna, etc.

Calvin Harris and Guetta made some classics back then

Radio friendly rap music was around back then, something that isn’t around as much now

    It’s still the leading genre

And he only had 1 hit song, a bad one imo, and I like Drake.

Drake had more than 1 hit off CLB. This is why y’all gotta stop looking at charts to see what’s poppin. Y’all be out of touch.

Til tok songs = ringtone rap instead of using 30 sec clips for ringtones ppl use em for their videos.

This era will end and rap will have another renaissance like that cole cudi drake backpack era that give us new massive rap artists

Well, he only had one on the charts. And I didn't like CLB anyway. It's the first Drake album I can't get into.

People need to change their perception on music this decade. Songs are generally not going to have the staying power and/or be “culturally defining” in the sense that we were previously used to because of the infinite amounts of media pumped into our faces every day
