    FASHION DEMON

All the best rappers right now are in their 30's. Who wants to listen to a 16 year old rap about being rich anyway?

i think the main point is rappers in they 30s talking about the s*** they do can be kinda funny in retrospect

Looking at the list in OP in most cases their best work is behind them…

Kanye made Graduation, 808s, MBDTF and Yeezus in his 30s.. so explain that

So if rappers from other Generations are making conscious music in the late teens and early 20s would it diminish they’re music because they haven’t experienced life yet?

  • met

i bet people who grew up on 80s music said the same thing about the 90s but if you dig deeper you'll find something you'll enjoy. we are simply looking at the 90s with rose-tinted glasses, of course there was a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly

idk I feel like popular music was better back then at least

No. Being 30+ in the club with the priorities I listed is still as sad as it’s always been.

Go settle down with a woman you love, be an active father, be a positive example for your community, find god.

Leave the other s*** for the young men whose brains aren’t fully developed yet

Couples in the 80s and 90s be hitting the clubs till they’re like 38 lol

People mature slower in general. 30 is the new 25 and 20 is the new 15. Zoomer rappers are sped compared to 90s rappers who were their age

MattyB is in his 20s now…

Some of these aren’t as much of a surprise (IE: big Sean, Drake & meek who are all past their prime and have been around)

but to think guys like 21, Durk, Baby, Gunna, Babyface Ray who are still talked about as what’s NOW and generally have very immature subject matters are all pushing 30s is crazy

Future the active misogynistic king turns 40 years old…..

Is rap just going to die soon? We haven’t seen a renaissance like 2016 since. “Underground” names pop up but haven’t made any real mainstream noise or shown staying power

Is all we have to look forward to Ice Spice and Yeat for the next decade?

    how about you stfu tbh

Kanye is an exception to the rule

He’s like the Tom Brady of rap

Both stayed around longer than they should and lost their families too…

Back in the day, I say before 2010. Most rappers were over 25 when they dropped their debut or blew up.

Hip hop culture will need to be open to older and more experimental artist if it wants to move forward. Or we just gonna keep getting street rappers under 21 years old that fizzle out by the next season.

If you come out older you have a lot more s*** to talk about/wiser/have years of PRACTICE under the belt. Yachty just said he claims none of his music before the one he dropped right now. He knew these weren’t good enough to truly release as a true effort

Can’t say that for 98% of the rap game today. Most of these rappers will be forgotten in 5-10 years
