  • Been thinking about this a lot lately, what are some artists who just completely disappeared? Don't mean this in terms of artists who just fell off or lost popularity but are still around, but instead artists (of any level of popularity/fandom) who legit like seemingly disappeared from the scene (and mostly peoples memories) altogether - for whatever reason.

Examples include Wintertime (twitter.com/wintertime), dude was popular in the 2015-17 SC era and then completely dropped off the earth minus 1 or 2 tweets last year (since been deleted). Got popular originally alongisde guys like Yachty, Pump etc.

Another example is Slim The Mobster (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slim_the_Mobster), who was signed to Dre/Aftermath for awhile. Had a lot of hype in like 2011-2013 - was meant to be on Detox, even had collabs w/ a young Kendrick among others. Dude literally fell off the face of the earth. Album never got released either iirc.

What are some other artists like this? Fascinated by people who were only briefly in the industry and then completely fell off the face of the earth.

Yeah Slim The Mobster was a Dre protege too I think Jon Connor is still around though since he left Aftermath it's just no one cares about him anymore

    Cory Gunz.

I thought he had a lot of potential from his "6 Foot 7 Foot" verse.
