RaRa (also formerly known as Young Capone) is definitely a rapper rapper given how he’s been rapping since 13 years old and could eat up your favorite rapper on a track
Wish he’d drop a consistent project though.
Rara was supposed to be 1 of 1

High End Low Life exists brother
Thug is a rappers rapper who wants to be seen as someone who happens to rap well
Jay z too

this makes sense
but how do you distinguish that “wants to be seen as”

Yeah, I mean recently.
Since the Hustle Gang separation his music quality and rapping has dropped.

When thug says “I just do this s*** when I get booored”on Digits I feel like he’s feeding into the trend of it being cool not to try too hard. Just like jay z with “I dumbed down my lyrics to double my dollars”. They’re both clearly hop hop nerds who love to rap but they want it to seem totally effortless. It’s good for us that they care so much tho bc they make great music
like rappers in group 2 give a feeling like they don’t care that much about this rap s*** or something
Biggie doesn’t? Yeah you need to be set on fire
Yeah, I mean recently.

I’m annoyed at how he transitioned into mumble rap during his time at Grand Hustle. Became even worse once he separated from the label, now sounds all sleepy lol.
Did you check out the album he released last year called Abstract Trap Rap? Contains his older tracks from 2014-15, I’d highly recommend you to listen to it.
So a rappers rapper is someone who wanted to rap from the jump and is passionate about the craft and stuff, and someone who just happened to be good at rapping is someone who tried it, learned they had a talent for it, and used it to get a bag?
That’s interesting. I never really thought of dividing rappers like that, but I guess it is true.
I wonder how many people really did just stumble into their careers, even as rappers.
