People being oppressed cannot effectively be racist towards people oppressing them bc they have no power to affect the oppressors well being. Besides literally murdering a person solely for being white you really can't be materially racist towards a white person in the USA in 2020
You’re taking this off on a tangent that was never intended.
My comment was SPECIFICALLY about comments on this site, with nothing to do with things that occur IRL.
I didn’t think I had to break it down and spell it out but....
If I made a comment/joke about a black persons using any number of stereotypes that are associated with a black person... people here would be raging, flipping out, I would probably get banned right?
But then it’s perfectly okay to make that same type of comment about a white person on here.
Again, I don’t give a f*** if someone does. I’ll probably laugh at the joke with you and agree with it. Make as many as you’d like. Just that don’t have that double standard where one is okay and the other isn’t, ON HERE

Making a joke about poc contributes to white supremacy, making a joke about white people is not the same. It might hurt my feelings but it has no substantive impact even remotely similar
Uhm I don't think that quote applies to this context...
He was against celebrities speaking what he perceived the white government wanted to hear/told them to say.
Speaking out in favor of George Floyd is going AGAINST what the white/Trump government would want (they want celebs to sit back and hush and not make them look worse for ignoring this).

They are controlled by white corporations, anything that is too radical they will get in trouble.
honestly s*** aint all fun and games anymore. s*** is really real out here. either contribute in a positive way or gtfo. if I was a mod i'd be banning all these mfers. on god

Ok but regardless, speaking out in favor of justice for George Floyd would be calling out the government and placing further pressure on them which is the OPPOSITE of what that video was calling out...
Lil weird ass nigga don’t even know how to talk to women but you tryna step to me

Stay in your lane p****
Homie u think looking back at my topics after I did to yours is a proper comeback in this argument? At least mine wasn’t showing corny hate towards anybody. Go do spend your time on something useful instead of spreading hate with your lame ass
And on a side note since you brought it up, the girl I was talking about in that thread is now my girl. I got the W but I didn’t bother to update that thread, it’s just not something to flex with.
Meanwhile, you’re probably lonely af got nobody to talk to because of how you just hate on others and judge them.
This isn’t applicable to today
They’re not speaking out or doing anything because it would jeopardize their wealth or proximity to it. Pathetic

It won't amount to anything, it's a safe response to a deep rooted and destructive issue.

I really need y'all to STOP going around saying speaking out doesn't amount to anything. Like seriously get the f*** out of here with that.
You're implying these black men who have millions of fans and followers don't have any power, which is a complete lie.
Posting organizations to donate to, places they can protest, places they can call to demand justice, etc would be doing something and would push more change and involvement. Stop that bullshit of trying to discourage rappers by saying it won't solve anything.
Yes it is.
No it isn’t.
There’s no need for white leaders because they don’t have anything to speak out against that affects them as a race. That’s why you don’t see white leaders.
Black people do have those things. And the people who we see as “leaders” AREN’T being put there by the white man.
They’re people who gained they status then used it to speak up. Did white people designate someone like LeBron a leader or did the people?
I'm not arguing with you niggas cause you aren't seeing the bigger picture. I'm not expounding on this, just know BLM is a sham.

So what are you doing instead? Gon ahead and let us know your contributions to society.

I dont agree. Take Billie eilish for example. She has a large fanbase comprised of very young fans. Her effectively breaking down why the phrase "all lives matters" is a bunch of bullshit is a positive thing imo. It is never a bad ideia to publicly denounce bad ideas.
The real problem is we don’t have any legit black leaders in this time. Celebrities are not leaders.

Bryan Stevenson is a nice guy, runs a huge organization, has an amazing book and an amazing documentary.
He should be getting way more attention tbh. Anyone should check out his work
