Can I not flip this exact argument and say you’re blinded by nostalgia?

If anything not being around to experience it in real time makes it more objective

    Lupe best project was F&L

BOBS and TE are both incredible to me. I revisit TE way more. Yasiin was born to be on madlib beats.

also F&L isnt a top 3 lupe project. also the leak >>

hard to have influence when the culture is made up of, or followed by a bunch of little ass kids or immature men lol

not wanting to digest and take the knowledge that jay dropped is up to whoever, but i would hope one day the masses will actually interpret this kind of music and better themselves

Plenty albums have had influence that were grown men albums. Sorry that people can’t relate to hov saying he could’ve bought a 2 million dollar place that’s worth 25 now lol.

    Why Yesterday

Disagree strongly with Lupe on that list

Album still good but I disagree it’s his best.

Same here. The cool is clearly his best album.

    Aesop Rock - Impossible Kid
    Common - Be
    Mos Def -The Ecstatic
Lupe Fiasco - Tetsuo & Youth
    Killer Mike - RAP Music
    Tyler - IGOR
    Freddie Gibbs - Bandana
    Pusha T - Daytona
    Big K.R.I.T. - 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time

Hov made Reasonable Doubt. Y’all hype this album way too much for it to have zero influence on culture.

Influence alone is a s***ty barometer for quality.

If we are discussing an artist best work why would we be looking at influence only? This thread assumes that best would equal of higher quality than the rest lol.

The only thing separating these albums are the intangibles which 4:44 has zero.

thats not the only thing he said on that album and you know it. what other albums are u talking about? if you cant take a single positive thing away from 444, or find inspiration somewhere, i find it hard to believe theirs "plenty" of other albums ur talking about.

Push solo career is an interesting case study. Very similar to 2Chainz on a way bigger level of course.
