Hope you ain’t implying fivio took pop smoke’s lane
Kid laroi also sound like juice tbh
Ehh I think Snoop had his own appeal/fanbase separate from Pac. But he did benefit (feels so wrong to say this) from a surge of new fans when Pac died. So I suppose in a way he took that lane?
Still wouldn’t say he took Pac’s llane imo because Snoop was an established artist before Pac got to Deathrow.

song was made in 2015 iirc
I don't know what's weirder, the concept of this thread, or the fact that there are enough examples of this to make a list in the first place.
how nobody mention this yet
Fat Joe had records before Pun, he was just more underground/hip hop.
Lotta s***ty grunge artists tried to take Kurt's lane after he died and they made some money

yeah i just saw Flow Joe last year and was surprised but still Pun was way bigger and Joe continued on in the mainstream lane Pun made for gargantuan latinos
If I catch a grown man bumping kid laroy I’m beating his ass
We are literally in the Kid Laroi era, he has a huge audience - grown ups included. I don't listen to him like that but I would lie if I told u that I didn't enjoy Stay with Biebz

Never heard a song man ain’t no way we in his era but I’m 26 so idk what these kids be on
I've got this "new" song called Ceremony...
There's also Eddie Cochran was friends with Buddy Holly and wrote this song in his honor after he died and even recorded it with his band The Crickets but then Eddie himself was also killed in a car crash before it even hit the charts
Not even close.
!https://youtu.be/U30sGkIElykPun was the household name in the suburbs of Canada sir
crazy how ski mask the slump god was lowkey doing better when x was alive then after he passed, anyone else noticed this? ski was getting a whole lotta feats by big time artists and got a cole bennett music video (which meant alot in 2017)
Tracy couldn’t take Peep’s and Ski couldn’t get X’s. Has there ever been one that actually has though
Ski is the first person I thought of
I don’t think the question has to be framed in a negative way as if someone is scheming to besmirch their dead friend’s memory
But it’s just true that if x artist (pun not intended) dies and y artist is similar, and ppl still want to listen to the type of music they make, they objectively could fill that niche in a sense

Okay yeah you right. I thought about that after I replied, He def became super mainstream after Pun died. He caught some smashes
