I really enjoyed the first listen. Every time I hear a line I want to rewind back, she hits me with another bar.
I got to go back to her other albums, but this might be he most introspective album.
I SHOT THE SHERIFF, BUT I DID NOT SHOOT THE DEPUTY.....he shot me
This was the ONE for me
listened to EVE before this came out a cpl weeks ago, forgot how incredible it was too. NINA such a great song

her personality lets loose a lot more on this one for sure...one of the common arguments with Rapsody is that her flow/delivery was a lil too one note but she experiments with her vocals on this and also switches it up occasionally like the reggae-esque Never Enough and her personality also shows more in the lyrics
Honestly think blk odyssy was the perfect producer for her. When i heard he was working directly with rap after his album (one of the best albums of last year) dropped my ears perked tf up.
9th a legend and a GOAT and definitely there’s no Rapsody without him BUT she definitely had to leave for her music to really reach the potential it always could be.
Yes, she’s the female Game as far as name dropping goes and that’ll never stop. But it really seems she made a point with this album (especially with accusations of ppl calling her a “pickme raps” for years) to…really just bare her soul on this one.
No ID saying everyone knows you can rap but I cant name 5 things I know about you was the greatest thing she needed to hear.
I really appreciate that. Amazing concept even if it could’ve used some trimming (back in my bag and niko interlude tbh.)
Honestly didn’t know her & No ID had a relationship but that was some great advice he gave her
I would love to hear what a No ID x Rapsody album would even sound like now
Feel like that her next best bet as far as someone who can get her right with production that will suit her outside of Blk odyssey
That little reggie influenced track run from Never Enough, He Shot Me & Gods Light was interesting
Would be cool if she delve deeper into that next album and make it the core sound
Another great project by her
Could have been a little bit shorter maybe but she loves this lengths haha
Rapsody fills a lane for people who claim they want a certain type of female rapper without having the talent to be entertaining enough to exist as more than contrarian
Dawg this album is so slept on this year, this is arguably her best one too!
The production is incredible and her performance is top notch.

what are you even trying to say here lol
I revisited this and I have to say that despite their being some good standouts here (DND, Asteroids, 3 AM, That One Time), this album is way too bloated unfortunately
