HOB is his best body of work, easy 9 for me, has some of his greatest songs, the dramatic and ethereal sound and The Weeknd’s beautiful vocals all over it, it fits the theme of “the weekend” or the party life’s dark side the most

Thursday - 7/10

Similar sound to HOB with a little more rock and guitars, this one has more misses but overall good mixtape

Best song - Rolling Stone

Echoes of Silence - 7/10

I understand if you think EOS is his best s*** because it’s the darkest and it’s the most cohesive, but it’s still the album I play the least, I like that he emphasized a dark almost horror-ish sound

Best song - Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun)

Kiss Land - 8/10

His most underrated album, the album where I feel like he did exactly what he wanted, this dramatic alternative 80’s sound, with some of his best ballads, it feels a little too extra but it’s that extra “umph” that he needs right now and I felt it in the new “After Hours” single

Best song - Love In The Sky

Beauty Behind The Madness - 6/10

His first pop album, and his most popular one but I feel like it’s his worst, just because it’s messy and he juggled between dark R&B (but a little more accessible) and pop, it has good hits but it’s my least favorite for sure

Best song - Tell Your Friends

Starboy - 7/10

A lot of older Weeknd fans don’t really like Starboy, but I actually like it and still play it from time to time, it’s a good pop album with bops, I think it has some of his best singles and I like the 80’s sounding sounds and lot of his choruses here, it has filler but more highs than lows

Best song - Die for You

My Dear Melancholy - 8/10

MDM is amazing! If you’re a Weeknd fan this is everything you would want from him, every song slaps, the only reason you might dislike it is if you think it’s not original enough, I think it’s like upgraded Trilogy sound and that it’s him at his best

Best song - Privilege

Overall

Overall he has a good discography, hoping he kills it with After Hours, he never dropped a bad album and he’s still a good singer who cares about evolving and reinventing himself as an artist, so looking forward to next week!
