Not bad. Houston might be my fav scene honestly. I’d replace sauce walka with bun b
ive always though chamillionaire was houston best commercial artist early on . He barely missed the list . And quality wise i think hes up there as well
Not a bad list. I love that you included one of my favorite rappers of all time, Z-Ro, on your Mount Rushmore.
If I had to nitpick, I would probably replace Sauce Walka with somebody else though (Bun B, Willie D, Lil Troy, etc..)
Shout out to the GOAT, Scarface. THE GREATEST HOUSTON RAPPER OF ALL TIME!!!
i’m sorry i been a sauce walka fan since like 2015 but i just can’t put him over Travis

His style has changed a lot over the years so I’d say Z-Ro Vs The World from 2000 and The Ghetto Gospel from 2024. Probably my two fav albums of his and they’re 2 decades apart

The original double disc version

His new album is crazy .
Someone his age adapting to modern 808 & melodies is insane impressive . His talent is a true test of time.
Sauce being on here i guess is the hot take .
But after hearing his verse on A$AP Rocky’s album, it just made me appreciate him never switching up his style and mastering it . And behind the scenes sauce has a lot of pull musically and in the streets of Houston.
DJ screw should count ngl
I feel that, but honestly, DJ Screw is more important than all of these people. He definitely deserves to be on his own pedestal & deserves his own tier by himself.
DJ screw should count ngl
DJ Screw has one of the worst name recognition to songs known ratios of all time unfortunately. Which I think is a product of the streaming age as much as anything.
Actually why don't they make chopped and screwed versions of albums instead of sped up lol.
