If you listen to 808s, graduation trilogy, and tlop (the version where wolves and franks track are 1 song ) you’re probably gonna like something about one of those more because they do certain things better

For example if you really like the sad ye songs, Runaway and blame game are great, but you will probably like 808s more than mbdtf as an album

What if I like the total package of somber ye songs (runaway, blame game), lyrical ye songs, (gorgeous, so appaled, monster) over top production (power, all of the lights, lost in the world) and the other great songs on that album

I feel like most normal people will gravitate to one of those instead of liking a perfect blend of them made for critics. Its human behavior to like some things more than others

Yeezus is almost void of lyricism and sad songs, and it's over top production isn't everyone's taste when it comes to rap

Tlop isn't nearly cohesive

Mbdtf has all of those aspects in one perfect blend, the closest being LR and maybe Pablo

I can easily see why someone would have it as their favorite even if it's not my own

I dont think people are generally inclined to want a complete package

If you like 808s and yeezus you probably dont care about lyricism

If you like tlop you probably dont care about a cohesive album experience

I think its silly to believe real people are able to simultaneously appreciate every aspect of ye's music at once. Unless you are a trained musician or a critic, in which case mbdtf is literally made for you. Lot of people want to look like that on the internet tho

Why not tho. A complete package has a wide array of elements into one cohesive experience. Why wouldn't people want that. I'll argue nwts is a complete package and that's a fan favorite. I could understand if the package is overall not good like scorpion or views

But it's not like MBDTF is lacking in quality. MBDTF also does some stuff better than any of his other albums do and stuff that none of his other albums do.
