Honestly it comes down to crowd, cause on rym/mu crowd would gravitate to Radiohead but in real life you would be hard press to find people which know more than 10 Radiohead songs max
This might make more sense than Blur vs. Oasis tbh
Maybe
I do know most people would say stuff like "You either listened to Blur or Oasis" and maybe there's some truth to it cause I was more into Blur. Never cared much for Oasis. But a few of my friends love Oasis but didn't even know Blur was a band, they just knew Damon Albarn and Gorillaz
aphex twin
another one outside of the obvious legends that has a chance honestly

That's crazy, as a kid I definitely heard of Gorillaz first, but knowing Oasis and not Blur is wild, their rivalry is such an important chapter in their story
I used to lean Blur but now I think Noel Gallagher is one of the greatest pop songwriters of all time, their albums were never as consistent as Blur's, but the singles were out of this world, Noel is a legit master at lyrics that don't need to mean anything because they feel so good to sing. Nobody scans better than him, the opposite would be Lou Reed, whose lyrics are great but he's really gotta stretch them to fit the meter sometimes
Limp Bizkit vs. Korn? Maybe add ICP to the mix
Now this is a battle. I’m gonna get a barbed wire tattoo and think about this.
