So it was near the end of my shift and this middle aged woman comes in for take out. She has to wait like 10-15 minutes for the food to come out so she’s chatting her face off, it was cool, she seemed smart, a real linguist. She’s like recommending me shows, yapping tbh I was friendly and receptive whatever
As the interaction’s starting to wrap up, she calls me by first name.
There was no way of her knowing my name because I hadn’t introduced myself and nothing says my name, not even the receipt. And I hadn’t even handed her the food yet…
She goes “Well ___, I’m sure none of that was beneficial to your weekend”
I was like 👀😅
So wtf do you think that was? Knowing me by my first name? She said she wasn’t from around and was local to visit some friends but wanted to buy some sushi first… a bit sus….. whatever….
Is the government on folks like that? A few years back I was dropping some pretty leftist/woke content with my music. You think the feds have kept eyes on me or something?
I'd quit the job and move from wherever you're from op
Pack your bags and leave the area by morning, it’s not safe.

You think it’s like that…?
I know that’s how the suburbs be, community watch dogs, I’m like some lowkey ass artist, idk…

I mean it’s not safe anywhere but bruv… sus..
Did you ask her how she knew your name?
I didn’t ! She really emphasized my name when she said it and I wasn’t facing her I was typing on the POS, I was like😳

Similar thing happened to my friend a year or two ago.
He worked as a retail backroom associate, and a woman asked for him by name when nobody at the workplace identified him for her, and he also didn’t wear a name tag (they aren’t on the main floor so it isn’t a requirement). A few hours later, his car was stolen from and he had found damages on his front door at home. Thankfully nothing was stolen and he wasn’t harmed. I made all of that up, but I don’t think that unfamiliar car parked on your street belongs there. Be safe tho.
