What other albums have any sort of similarity to this/what else would I like if I LOVE this to death?
crazy rhythms
Interested as well. I hate when artist introduce a great sound and never explore it. What kid cudi was doing on ppds was a step in the right direction in terms of adding sounds and styles into his little repertoire and showing us what rap can become.

I think we a lot of us believe street rap embodies so much of African American culture that if an artist incorporate other genres and sounds into their music it would betray our identity. Like we embrace certain struggles and celebrate our strength and resiliency but we can do more. Street rap doesn’t have to dominate how artist choose to represent themselves. Think I worded this poorly but I’m not really trying to write essays

Like there’s an agenda against our people and rappers wanna make statement with their music by embracing where some of us come from, and common rap fans loves it. Dirk, baby, nba young boy whoever top the charts and we should celebrate that but I do think it leads to stagnation in creativity
talking heads are so legendary.
and they knew when to stop, leaving the world wanting more... v rare
Smashing Pumpkins, Magnetic Fields jumped the mf shark

I reckon that the music that glorifies street violence is a part of the agenda against our people as well. I remember this video of a dude who was in World Class Wreckin Cru talking about how there were a handful of gangbangers in the streets at the time, but it wasn't anything glamorized, and on top of that a lot of places in south central were still safe to go to and have fun. Then NWA came out and the image n music made everyone wanna start gangbanging, and suddenly it's not too safe to be outside
Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk
Sounds nothing like Remain in Light
Good album though
