    There was a recession in the early 90s, years after the 1987 crash. Even though that crash was the largest one, there was no recession immediately afterwards, and the one in the 90s wasn’t as bad as the one in the late 2000s

    No. A recession is recognized after two quarters of negative GDP growth.

    I think a few months are enough to recognize vs. two quarters.
