I have completely NO idea what's this genre is called but calling it just "electronic" or "house" seems wrong so I took the genre names from Floating Points albumoftheyear.com page

basically I want music to listen to when I'm driving home late at night through the city feeling like I'm in a Blade Runner

    Nicolas Jaar type of music

    Something like this:

    Help me fam

I’d call this IDM. Check out Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, pretty much anyone signed to Warp Records

    Bow And Arrow

    Four Tet
    Mount Kimble
    Caribou

Four Tet seems like exactly the type of thing I'm looking for

"LA Trance" is basically 100% what I was hoping for

Four Tet - There is Love In You
    Against All Logic - 2012-2017
Aphex Twin - Richard D James
Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children
    Autechre - Tri repetae

    Help me fam

Type in Discogs the name of the artist and then look at the search at the bottom what it suggests.

Then go to Resident Advisor and see what the bio of this artist is. Resident Advisor will help you, fam.

    residentadvisor.net

That will give you a better understanding what you are after.

Oh Blade Runner? You have to listen to Ben Khan even though he has a tinge of Jai Paul emulation, he's still a interesting dude. Bladerunner is one of his favorite films. He's nice with the soundscape. On his own thing.

    I know this dude

REAL strong Jai Paul vibes that's true

    He's nice

But it's not really what I'm looking for rn

I want this kind of a trans music that you can just put on your speakers and zone out

Look into some liquid drum and bass artists

    Bicep

    Perhaps even some dubstep

Here's something I think Floating Points was probably influenced by from this artist (as well as the obvious aphex twin) :

Warp records seems to be your best bet for things you will find like Floating Points track.
