There is literally no good logic to that honestly.

In the game they claim its coz of what happened in Blackwater, but guess what we shoot down all of valentine yet we can still visit it, and after chapter 4 bank heist, we could still go and visit saint denis so the claim isn't reasonable.

its known that rockstar wanted arthur to go to New Austin. They even left some voiceover data for new sidequests in the files.

Maybe they ran out of money or time because New Austins world and interactivity seems dead in comparison to the other states

yeah arthurs voice actor even said that rockstar cut many missions, dialogues and other content (whole open world guarma with side missions etc.).

Just picked this up on the psn sale. It’s really fun so far but the game logic is so weird

For instance in lot of these missions I don’t make that much money yet because the story missions involve crimes, I end up with a big bounty I have to pay off in that part of the map lol. Doesn’t seem worth it to be an outlaw in the old west tbh

I mean it wasnt worth it lmao. They illustrate that a few times tbh

I’m not talking about the story, I just started the game.

Just from a gameplay perspective, the missions don’t pay off at all. I owe $300 in bounties after breaking Micah out and then the micah mission paid out about $300 at the end when we finished robbing the stagecoach

The fact that they can’t seem to get ahead and always need to keep looking for that next big score is a plot device

I mean I’ve donated thousands to the camp already and upgraded a ton of s***, I just don’t pay my bounties lol

But yeah if you paid your bounties you basically would have nothing to buy anything with

I thought we were gonna be struggling the whole game but I just robbed my first bank and made 10k for the camp and pocketed 2.5k

Time to gamble

Even though I got bored of this game and may never finish it, running into a clan meeting in the middle of the night and smoking the entire crowd was one of the coolest gaming moments I’ve ever encountered.

Just found Saint Denis holy f*** it’s incredible

I wish more open world games had cities this big

there are much more of these random encounters. some are truly f***ed up and left a bigger impact and impression on me than the main story of many AAA games.

night folk encounter f***ed me up hard. Its even based on a true real life story

The former slave hunter/owner encounter was also tough as bricks

vampire encounter in saint denis also made

All these type of encounters (there are even more than the ones you mentioned) made me think about how good a Rockstar horror game could be. Rockstar could nail an open-world horror game.
