We're all waiting on gta 6 to see if rockstar is dead or not now that alot of cool people have left

The UI in Red Dead II is a disaster; I can't believe people lost their minds testing this game for years in a bunker without seeing the light of day, and it still played like that. Being stuck in camp is akin to sleep paralysis.

Idk how the game made it through play testing with all the little annoying s*** in it. The game storing your inventory on your horse, leaving you with no guns when your horse runs off Could've been the perfect game if the movement and gameplay wasn't so horrible. Nobody gives a f*** about shrinking and enlarging horse testicles, get the gameplay right first

Is there any home building in this game? Like buying/creating your own base?

nah the wild west already dead in 1914, probably a full new character and a new gang

Nope. You can upgrade your camps but it’s not too in depth.

And do your camps stay throughout the camp? Or do I need to dismantle them between missions/story advancement? Thanks!

i havent played through the entire story (yea i know im an idiot)

assuming its the same as the online, you can upgrade your camp and move and relocate it whenever you need to if you're on the other side of the map, stuff like that. once you buy everything for your camp you have it forever. there isnt too many upgardes and customization to be honest.

I really love how every playthrough is a different experience.
There are so many random events and encounters, and so many little towns and buildings to explore

I just finished this, greatest game of all time probably

1 hour in so far, very cinematic, yet gameplay feels extremely tedious. will report back after some more hours

possibly the latest to the party on this one but a buddy of mine gave me his XBox One for free bc he doesn't use it anymore so I downloaded this and WOW...what a huge, epic game...I'm only on like Chapter 3 of Story Mode and there's just so much to do lol...spent the entire day fishing and riding all over the place when Shawn gets out and the camp celebrates...I legit spent the whole night just moving from campfire to campfire soaking all the details in lol Bill talkin bout not being able to tell the difference between a woman and a sheep...Javier serenating on guitar...all the dirty songs they sing...bout to make that ending hit even harder bc I know only doom and gloom coming for these guys

You're playing the game exactly the way it's meant to be experienced

I see a lot of critiques on this game about it's slow pace or that it's too tedious.
But you are playing the game wrong if you are just trying to jump from mission to mission. You have to soak in everything, the best encounters in this game are when you just go randomly explore

Stop at a random house or village out in the wild and guaranteed you will discover some s***.
The game rewards you for taking your time and immersing yourself in your surroundings

yeah my friend warned me it started slow and I'm like "nah I love this s***" lol...makes me appreciate the character work that much more and how natural it feels for the most part and I'm honestly delaying going from mission to mission as much as possible just to like you said soak up all the extra side stuff...I'm not using cheat books or anything either so I'm sure I'm still missing a bunch lol

havent played this since it came out, need to find some time to run through it again have no doubt it still holds up, cant wait for rdr3 in 15 years

Needs a next gen upgrade. If gta5 can be 60 fps this can too
