Reddit is way too big to have a black and white opinion on

Certain subs are great, others are terrible

Reddit is where dumb people go to act smart

4chan is where smart people go to act dumb

ive wasted a good amount of time on 4chan, and I can conclude that the site is full of actual dumbfucks

Both have become insufferable, but I like that 4chan isn't fake friendly.

Reddit is so passive aggressively hostile, mods are on powertrips the wholesite is a microcosm of the worst parts of internet culture with a bow that pretends it's not

Except there’s actually smart people on some subs and not a single smart person on 4chan

Well yeah it’s how the entire reward mechanism of the site works

4chan gives you (you)s anonymously in chronological order whereas reddit promotes group think through upvoting comments to the top

I never liked Reddit I was always a Digg fan and didn’t get the hype

If you’re deep into a field there’s usually experts on Reddit. At least for CS

Exactly, I've noticed that the first 3 votes on a post dictate whether or not a post or comment is accepted. Also the site just too American and white in it's thinking

No doubt, that being said the average redditor and the culture they enable kills the f*** out of me.

That and it gets worst in the more creator driven subreddits.

I don't think it's any worse than Twitter if we're being real

true, you can definitely see a massive displacement of actual discussion in the smaller boards because of the election.

/lit/ used to be somewhat bearable before literal fascists swarmed in and start recommending s*** like the Bible. now its, ironically, an echo chamber.
