by Daddy Yankee lol DY did this to Nicky Jam too when they were beefing during the 2004-2005 era. He would tell people at events/concerts that he would only show up to perform if ___ didnt show up.

Also if they wanted him on an album he would only agree if they weren't on the same album. Performances are a big part of revenue in music and obviously you'll pick DY over J Alvarez to perform at your party so he slowly lost money and buzz + lack of new music too.

Theres a few youtube videos of both him and Nicky Jam talking about the things DY would do to them when they were beefing. DY is the gatekeeper of the genre rn. Him and Pina control a big part of the genre. Pina also black balled Tony Dize out of the industry at around the same time. Tbf think DY and Alvarez have made up in recent years and now they're cool.

He’s now doing his thing tho because media isn’t as small as it was back then so his fans finally caught up to him and keep him going DY probably patched things up also because of this since everybody knows everything if they just search it up on YouTube and he doesn’t wanna have bad taste
