You have to be a real 90's R&B head or Jay Z fan to know who Rell is but he was one of the original Roc a Fella signees and did some hooks for Jay and Dr Dre in the late 90's and got a shout out on "All I Need". Rell had one single "Love For Free" in 97 which was included on the Streets Is Watching soundtrack which made it on the Hot 100.

For one reason or another his album got shelved and never got put out until now. No idea what kind of involvement Jay or anyone has in it but there's a Memphis Bleek feature here and it is SO 90's. If you're looking for anymore R&B that sounds like it was dug up from a time capsule it's a solid listen and Love For Free is always in rotation for me.
