The South had Trap(exclusively).
East coast had a purist viewpoint(soul samples& storytelling).
West coast had G-funk samples & storytelling.
Fast forward to 2020, it’s a hodgepodge culturally & Im not sure it’s for the better.... Thoughts?

almost every rapper that blew up before the blog era needed a real core following on a local level that you could attach them to. Now, you don't. You can go viral through the internet and have fans or like in the blog era have someone write about your music and then magically get traction
