Uk drill is grime with lyrics about guns they don’t have. Wouldn’t be a uk “drill” without Chicago

No such thing as nyc drill, let alone “uk drill”

Drill music can only stem from Chicago

Pop Smoke bridged the gap pretty clearly. Worked with AXL and got his flow from UK artists. He slowed it down and made it catchy, but let's not pretend the biggest drill artist on the planet wasn't drawing from both strains.

no, pop smoke had barely anything to do w chicago drill s***. that s*** was all based on the UK sound and that sound had so little to do w the chicago sound that im surprised they still called it drill.
